Friso Powered Ride On Car Campaign–“Strong Inside to Experience More Together”

Media Campaign

Friso Singapore knows what parents (and children) want and deliver them!

Friso had always been giving out good gifts together with purchases of their milk power. Previously we had the Friso Play Set which slide is still heavily utilised by my 2 boys. We also redeemed a Y-Filker scooter from another promotion. And now the boys are really excited about the newest Friso Powered Ride On Car!

Being boys, Xi en and Eizac had always been a little crazy over cars (especially Eizac). We attended a pre-launch event at Kallang Wave Mall few Saturdays back and both were thrilled with the try-out rides!

Friso Car 1

We even had mini races with other blogger friends on the “tracks”! Friso kindly sponsored prizes and presents for the little ones. It was good to have a try-out on the cars as I realised Xi En at age 6+ and 16.5kg could fit into the Friso Powered Ride On Car. Eizac at 99cm and 3+ years old can also reach the foot pedal. I understood the max weight limit is between 25kg to 30kg.

We received a red car compliments of Friso at home and you can so see the ear-to-ear smiles on both boys’ face when it was delivered. We charged it up and they wasted no time to put it to good use. Smile

One thing for sure, the boys are learning to share. Sharing with the neighbours and sharing with each other. But very soon, I am sure we will see more Friso Powered On Cars on the “roads”!

Friso Car 2

Besides the car, of course the milk power more important! Open-mouthed smile This promotion is launched in conjunction to Friso’s LockNutri Process Technology. This technology enables protein in the formula to be preserved in their natural form, so that is can be readily absorbed by your child.

LockNutri was designed to eliminate the problem of proteins being destroyed during high heat when formula milk is being processed. This technology uses mild heat treatment during formula production process, so that proteins are preserved closer to their native structures. The nutrient can then be effectively absorbed by the body. Friso 2,3 and 4 comes with the enhanced LockNutri technology.  Source

Eizac is a fan of Friso milk powder since he started on formula milk. Till now he refused to change to any brands; so we are huge fans of Friso promotions. Open-mouthed smile

** This promotion is valid while stocks last. To avoid disappointment, customers should call the Global Opus Redemption Centre at 62821555 to find out status of the stocks before heading down. But we understood that Friso brought in quite a lot of stocks this round! Smile From my personal experience (as I have also redeemed gifts with purchase of Friso products before),  it is advisable to redeem as soon as possible as most promotions are while stocks last.

For more information, please check out Friso Singapore Facebook page.

Additional useful info:

Friso Powered Ride On Car is charged using an adapter. There is a remote controller for the really young ones. It is not suitable on loose dirt, gravel or wet areas that can affect the engine and moving parts.

Fly high in the sky

Is there a special activity which your family enjoys doing together?

We don’t exactly have (only) one. But we are an advocate to bring the children out to run and expend their energy in the nature as much as possible.

Nothing beats a green green grass with massive ground to run!

One of our favourite outdoor place is the Marina Barrage – a grateful realisation that it is the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew’s vision two decades ago which created this place to increase the water catchment areas for Singapore.

That aside, there is a huge green patch purposefully designed above the reservoir which served as a lifestyle attraction for many locals and tourists.

And this is one of the best kite flying (central) location as it is unblocked with strong winds and comes with a picturesque Singapore skyline.

With a new “Kungfu Panda” kite gifted by Xi En’s uncle for his birthday, he couldn’t wait to fly it.

We were there 2 weekends ago and we had a great time setting the kite up high!

The wind was so strong that the kite picked up the wind within a few tries. And before you knew it, we have a happy duo flying a kite.

This is a priceless moment to me. I loved that uninhibited; un-posed, candid shot of these 2 boys. The thrill and excitement speaks volume.

“A kite only flies if it’s tethered.” – Victor Robert Lee

I didn’t felt that Xi En could handle the kite alone. But Daddy, doing what Daddy is good in, taught him to hold on to the strings tightly with 2 hands lest he “fly away with the kite”.

“Imagination is the highest kite one can fly” –  Lauren Bacall

And Mummy do what Mummy is good in – pose for photos. 🙂

“True courage is like a kite; a contrary wind raises it higher.” – John Petit-Senn

Our kite flew really high but was cut off by another kite when the strings crossed path. The Kungfu panda kite brought down another couple’s kite along its descent. But no one complained. This is part of kite-flying; as expected in land-scare Singapore, we lived with tolerance for other kites (and people) and vice versa.

We hoped our boys learnt some life lessons; even if your kite descended, you can pick it up and make it soar once again.

Simple pleasures in life come in the form of kite flying.

Morning with the fire engines

March holidays are here!!!

Whenever it is school holidays, I will be cracking my brains on where to bring the boys to expend their energy. The best deal will be a free-entry place and not too crowded; some educational value will be helpful.

Drum roll….if you haven’t already heard of this place as a parent, you should diarise this activity to bring your children!

Your friendly neighbourhood fire engine station

This had always been on my places-to-bring-children-list. And I am glad we made it on one sunny Sat morning!

We choose to go to Sengkang Fire Station as it is not far off from our place and gladly found out that you can park for free at the fire station premise; just don’t block the way!

I must say I am seriously impressed with this visit. The firemen on duty were real firemen and they were so patient with the little ones and inquisitive parents! They explained patiently about their work and duties and the daily running of the station.

All the stations are open to public from 9am to 11am every Saturday. You need not be a resident to visit. I saw tourists posing for photos! But you will need some form of ID for registration at the entrance.

More details on SCDF website.

These are the stations which are open:

1. Alexandra Fire Station
2. Ang Mo Kio Fire Station
3. Bishan Fire Station
4. Bukit Batok Fire Station
5. Central Fire Station
6. Changi Fire Station
7. Clementi Fire Station
8. Jurong Fire Station
9. Paya Lebar Fire Station
10. Sengkang Fire Station
11. Tuas Fire Station
12. Woodlands Fire Station
13. Yishun Fire Station
14. Tampines Fire Station

It is a systematic visit; the young firemen gave out plastic helmets freely when we entered; such greats props for taking photos ya. 🙂

Thereafter we joined a group where there were explanations on what goes into a fire engine. It is a huge warehouse-on-the-go with important equipment!

This is the part that I am really impressed with: 2 of the guys were ready with their gears to show how and what they dressed up with when they go and fight a real fire. They actually strip down and dress up again for every group. Wait, they have to pose for the children and eager parents too! 😀 Thank you firemen for your tireless efforts towards national education! 😛

And that’s not all. The favourite 2 activities of the day:

Experience with a real fireman hose with Daddy holding the fort! #FrisoMoment

Fire station 1

And….Riding on real fire engines!

We also had the opportunity to tour the office and control station. For our nation safety, many thoughts had been put in for such meticulous planning and execution.

I think I am probably more excited about this visit than the boys (all 3 of them). I learnt so much things! That Sengkang Fire station receive the most no. of calls for fire (they are the station which covers Pulau Ubin too!), the gears that the fireman uses, the response time and etc. In the midst of our visit, we also experienced a real fire call and the little red rhino that Eizac was sitting on sped off in seconds with 4 other crew members on board! How cool is that! I meant the real-life experience not the “fire” happening somewhere. 😛

A fire station visit top my list for national education, real-life learning and experiences with the entire family. Bring your family next Sat! 🙂

Do you have a parent-child experience to share too? From jumping in puddles to running down the hill slopes (and visiting an fire station!), do you have that special parent-child experience to share?
